CCA National Safety

 

The CCA National Safety Award was created in 2000 in memory of Gordon M. Vipond to recognize outstanding achievement and commitment to the pursuit of safety in the construction workplace demonstrated by CCA partner associations and member firms. The award acknowledges achievements in program development, staff training, industry contribution as well as safe work record accomplishments.

Graham focuses on an integrated management system approach to Health and Safety, Environment and Quality. It supports industry leading serious injuries and fatalities (SIF) prevention with its Hurt and Energy model, Construction Safety Research Alliance research, Actively Caring culture, and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principals.

Since implementing its HSE management system and other improvement initiatives, there has been an 85 percent improvement in lost-time incidents and a 95 percent improvement in severity.
